Upcycle: bar cart

Hello lovelies!!

I hope you are all doing well!
Most of you might not know, but I recently moved.
You don't really realize how much stuff you have until you have to move...
I'm happy it's all over now and I'm enjoying my new place!
With new place comes, new interior.
Pinterest has been my best friend the last few weeks hahaha.
I didn't had to buy furniture, because I had all the furniture I needed from my previous apartment.

But sometimes, when you have furniture for a long time it becomes boring.
So I decided to up-cycle some of my furniture.
I will share them with you so you can get inspired and save some coins.
#youarewelcome

The first item I up-cycle is my bar cart. I used to use is in my bathroom in my previous apartment.
I wanted to throw it away first because it started to rust due water damage.
But I was hesitating...
Because it still did the job and I needed storage for my make up.
My creative instinct kicked in and I thought: Why not up-cycle it?

So this is what I had to work with.
I used some marble contact paper and gold spray paint.

I took the shelfs out an covered it with the contact paper.
Then I sprayed the rest of the cart with gold spray paint.
It was pretty easy to do and
only took an hour in total.

What do you think of the result?
The total cost was less than 8euro!
Hopefully you were inspired
and you will think twice before throwing something away!

Have a blessed day!

Current favourites

Hi lovelies!

I hope you all enjoyed the extra long weekend!
A new week has started and a perfect opportunity to share my current favourite products.
All the products have been bought by me, myself and I.
Except for the perfume which was a gift.
I use these products on an daily and I absolutely love them.

THE BODYSHOP MATTE CLAY FOUNDATION

This one is for ALL my coloured sisters out there!
We all know the struggle of finding a decent foundation.
Since not every brand carries for darker skin tones.
Recently Rihanna shook up the beauty industry with 'Fenty Beauty'.
And we were all pleasantly surprised to see that it carried 40 shades of foundation.
I'm only 26 and believe it or not, growing up it was really hard for me to find
make-up in my shade in a regular drug store...
But not everyone wants to spend 34$ on foundation. And that's without shipping...
For those who are on a budget and still wish to find a foundation who does the job, keep on reading.
These last few weeks I have been using the matte clay foundation from The Body Shop and I absolutely love it.
Here's why:

  • The clay in the foundation mattifies your skin. So you don't end up shining after a few hours...
  • It has a high coverage so you don't need a lot of it.
  • It promotes clearer skin because it's enriched with tea tree
  • It doesn't clog your pores. So if you fall asleep with your make up on -I don't advise that- you won't immediately wake up with at least 3 zits on your face.
  • It only costs 13 EUR and lasts a long time even if used daily

I highly recommend to visit your local The Body Shop store and ask for a sample or some makeup advice.

ILIA LIPSTICK

Hands down THE best lipstick I have ever used.
This lipstick is super moisturising, has a lot of pigment and stays on your lips for a really long time.
I have very dry lips, all year long and lipsticks dries tend to dry out my lips even more.
But not this one. In contrary! The color I use is INK POT but they have a handful of other colours.
What I also love about this lipstick is that it's vegan, 42% organic and has 100% natural dye.
I bought mine at the beauty bar Bella Mi Beauty in Ghent.
The girl who owns the beauty bar is a friend of mine, #girlsboss .
She also does make-up, skin care, microblading and sells niche perfume.
If you have never been there before, you should definitely check it out.
And tell her I said HI! Hahaha.

CHANEL EAU FRAICHE

This one was a gift from an ex-coworker. God bless her soul!
When I splurge on perfume I usually buy ' Diesel fuel for life unlimited'.
On any other day I like to use less expensive perfume like the 'Fleur de Himalaya' from the Rituals for example. But I was looking for a new perfume.
One I could wear during spring and summer, something a little bit more fresh.
I kid you not when I say, I think she read my mind.
She was dead on. It smells sexy and fresh at the same time.
And also, you can't really go wrong with a Chanel parfume...
Amazing gift, for sure.

THE BODYSHOP HANDCREME BRITISH ROSE

What I thought would be a quick fix for the winter,
ended up to be one of my favourite product.
It moisturises your hand without making them greasy.
And it smells UH-MA-ZING !
I used it in the winter for my dry hand.
But ended up using it daily because I like it so much.

Which one are you curious to try out?
Let me know in the comments!

green fur

Hi lovelies !

How are you? I hope you are doing great !
I'm doing amazing, except for the fact that I'm freezing my 'behind' off these days...
Even though technically speaking, it's still fall!

So I revisited my closet essentials for this season.
And I decided to invest in a new fur coat and this is how I styled it.

I went for a green fur coat.
A little bit unusual for, me since
I mostly wear black white or grey.
But sometimes I like pieces that stand out.

If you want to know where I bought my coat
and the rest of the outfit go to my Intagram ,
I tagged my whole outfit.
And don't be shy and give it a thumbs up !
